Impact Tutoring in Seattle
As a locally owned and operated tutoring business, we are passionate about providing personalized tutoring to meet your needs. We offer high-quality tutoring along with convenience, flexibility, and responsivity that you won't find with larger companies. This past year, all of our students achieved their academic goals with better understanding, improved grades, and 100-200 point improvements on their SAT's.
SEE the Impact with our tutoring approach:
Support, Empower, Equip.
We provide in-home or online tutoring services for middle school and high school students.
We start by supporting students in their academic journeys. Through one-on-one tutoring, we give them the time and space they need to ask questions, process, and truly learn the concepts.
This method empowers students. As they have positive learning experiences and improve their understanding, they gain self-confidence.
We also move beyond completing assignments and equip students with valuable academic skills such as critical thinking, making connections, and creative problem-solving.

Feedback from Families
"You’ve made a big difference in her understanding of geometry! ...Her math teacher sent me an email saying he’s seen a huge improvement, and that one day she was the only student to understand a complicated problem. ...You’d done a similar problem with her the day before so she knew how to do it. "Hannah has consistently brought value to my daughter's learning journey. Her calm and encouraging teaching style is just what my daughter needed. Her SAT score has improved 100+ points, and I attribute it to her support. She is professional, always on time, and responsive when our schedules need to be changed."

"She really likes the way you do math with her and she made huge strides...She got her PSAT score back today. She took it after 3 sessions with you and went up 100 points in math. Great improvements with only 3 sessions!"

About

Hello! I’m Hannah Pinter, the founder of Impact Tutoring. I started tutoring when I was in high school because I always loved learning and helping others, but my years as a math and science teacher helped me gain a much deeper understanding of how students learn and how to support them in their academic journeys.
As a teacher, I saw that one of the primary factors affecting students’ motivation and success in the classroom was their confidence in themselves. When students’ believed in themselves, their engagement, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving increased. I also realized that my favorite part of my job was helping students one-on-one or in small groups because I saw the difference that individualized support made. This led me to start Impact Tutoring.
I see tutoring as a valuable time for students to slow down, think through the content, ask questions and receive personalized feedback and support that lead them to a deeper understanding. I also focus on equipping students with the tools they need to succeed—whether that’s mastering challenging concepts, improving study habits, or building organizational skills. Over the years, I have tutored everything from reading and math at the elementary level to intro-level college courses in psychology and composition. I’ve also supported middle school multilingual learners in their coursework, tutored adult ESL students, and created inclusive learning environments for students with diverse needs and abilities. While I specialize in SAT/ACT test prep and math and science tutoring at the middle school or high school levels, I am able to support students across all subjects, and my approach has earned me 5-star reviews and referrals from families. If you are interested in my tutoring services, I would love to talk with you more. Schedule a free consultation today!
